You now what, Anon should give up on magic. Something tells me from pretty much from both canon and fanon that magic isn't something that can be learned in a single day. I mean shit, Marisa, Alice and Patch each have their own way and each spend large amounts of time researching their own methods. How is Anon, with a slightly above average intelligence, but nothing exterordinary going to learn to be remotely comparable to Youkai within a day?

My advice would be to give up on learning anything from Patchy, unless it's just a way to try and get closer to her. The best chance you're probably going to get for fast power will be to convince Keine to change your history so that you studied magic.

Humans in Touhou get their powers in one of a few ways:

* Born with it, often through links to youkai or some deity.
* Researching magic, at length.
* Spiritual power much like a shrine maiden.

Anon isn't spontaneously getting any of these soon without history altering powers or time hax. Hint: We've only befriended one person with one of these powers, and it isn't the time hax, both of those don't seem to like us.
